    Honouring retired officers, personnel

    The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) yesterday held a retirement certificate presentation ceremony for 161 officers and staff of the PMO and its departments who retired in 2021.

    Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof was the guest of honour.

    Deputy Minister (Civil Service Governance) at the PMO Dato Seri Paduka Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos and Deputy Minister (Security and Law) at the PMO Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu were also present.

    The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Mosque Affairs Officer at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque Haji Md Izzat Izzuddin bin Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Emran. This was followed by opening remarks from Permanent Secretary (Security and Law) at the PMO as Chairperson of the event Hajah Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib.

    Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi then presented the certificates and tokens of appreciation to the retirees.

    The ceremony was held to honour the officers and personnel who devoted their time and effort while serving in the civil service, especially those who served at the PMO and its departments.

    The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat by Haji Md Izzat Izzuddin.
