MANILA (XINHUA) – A homemade bomb ripped through a bus in southern Philippines yesterday injuring at least eight people, a military spokesperson said.
Army Major Andrew Linao of the Western Mindanao Command said the bomb went off as the bus with an unspecified number of passengers rolled into the transport terminal around 12.20pm local time in Isulan town in Sultan Kudarat province. The victims, aged 13 to 60, sustained injuries in different parts and were taken to a local hospital for treatment, Linao said, adding that no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
