The High Commission of Pakistan in Brunei Darussalam held a flag-hoisting ceremony to commemorate Pakistan’s 84th National Day celebration yesterday. Pakistani High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Major General (Rtd) Farhat Abbas Sani was present along with the Pakistani community in the Sultanate and officials of the high commission.
Following the flag-hoisting, messages from the president and the prime minister of Pakistan were read by the high commissioner and deputy head of mission respectively.
Both the leaders in their messages paid tribute to the Father of the Nation and leaders of the Freedom Movement for their visionary leadership, political acumen and unparalleled sacrifices, which culminated in the creation of Pakistan on August 14, 1947. – Lyna Mohamad
