HENGYI Industries Sdn Bhd organised a Stakeholder Engagement Dialogue involving several government agencies and local communities around Mukim Serasa at Hengyi’s office at The Empire Hotel & Country Club yesterday.

Officers from the Energy and Industry Department at the Prime Minister’s Office (EIDPMO), FAST, the Brunei-Muara District Office, Town and Country Planning Department, Authority of Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi), Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation, the Maritime and Ports Authority of Brunei Darussalam, Fisheries Department, Royal Brunei Police Force, Fire and Rescue Department, Department of Labour, Immigration and National Registration Department, and Royal Customs and Excise Department attended the event.

The dialogue session aimed to update authorities and surrounding communities on Hengyi’s Refinery project at Pulau Muara Besar (PMB) while providing a platform for local communities to voice their concerns.

Hengyi sees the importance that the stakeholders and communities are well informed about the progress of the project and also the need to manage expectations and provide a platform for everyone to voice their concerns.
