THIS letter is to thank doctors and nurses of the Paediatric High Dependency Unit at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.
I would like to say a big thank you to all for the care, treatment and compassion you gave my baby when she was hospitalised due to severe coughing which led to a lack of oxygen.
Not many people know the impact that a Paediatric High Dependency Unit doctor and nurse as well as its staff can have on a family.
A family with a baby in critical condition needed intensive care – and you delivered.
I have to admit that seeing my little one lying down on bed with an oxygen support as well as the amount of pain that she went through was heartbreaking.
It was an unbearable journey for us.
Yet the encouragement, support and the whole experience with the doctors and nurses was amazing and helpful.
My baby was treated well and it was heartwarming seeing our baby getting healthier day by day.
From using a tube to drink her milk, and now being able to breastfeed as usual.
Alhamdulillah, she was discharged today (at the time of writing).
Seeing all the nurses waving happy goodbyes to our little bulat (they even got a name for her) truly touched our heart.
Last but not least, to all doctors and nurses of all units and departments of RIPAS Hospital, this is for you, and no matter how hard we try, these words can’t express how much we appreciate you.
Your care has touched so many lives, your skill has relieved those in pain, and your devotion has brightened the day of so many.
