A group of third-year pharmacy students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam, SeeSalt, organised an event titled ‘Reducing Salt Intake for Healthier Tomorrow’ at Seri Mulia Sarjana International School on Saturday.
The event’s objective was to educate Year 9 students on the health risks associated with excessive salt intake and introduce healthier, low-sodium alternatives to encourage improved dietary habits. The event began with a presentation by the SeeSalt team, followed by a presentation on the risks of high salt consumption and a group sharing session.
The students also participated in interactive game booths.
The event concluded with closing remarks from the SeeSalt team leader and the school.
The initiative is part of the SeeSalt team’s efforts to support Brunei’s National Health Target 2030 at reducing high salt consumption and promoting a healthier lifestyle within the community.
