Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrated

TAKING advantage of the final days of Syawal, the Paraplegic and Physically Disabled Association (PAPDA) organized a Ramah Mesra Hari Raya Aidilfitri with its members and families at the PAPDA House in Kampong Beribi last Sunday.

Among those attending the event was Deputy President of PAPDA Haji Sahari bin Haji Tinggal.

The event began with the mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the singing of a Raya song by the organising committee.

Apart from the spread of Hari Raya dishes, the gathering also saw some members winning lucky draw prizes as well as a line-up of singing performance to entertain everyone at the event.

THE PEMONITA Syawal Gathering 2019 held recently turned out to be a memorable and meaningful event for the group as they had two special guests who flew in from Kuala Lumpur.

Hosted by PEMONITA member Khadijah Ismail at Bahagia Cottage in Rimba, Gadong, the members had a sweet Raya encounter with Ladies Bikers Malaysia founder Mira Yaacob and Tina Sharman who were invited as the special guests.

Khadijah said Mira and Tina had specially made the time despite their busy schedule back home to fly in to Brunei to join in the Hari Raya gathering and catch up with the lady bikers in Brunei, and they both felt very honoured to be invited as special guests and praised the warm welcome by PEMONITA.

CURTAINS for the final weekend of the festive month of Syawal was drawn with a Hari Raya open office hosted by PDS Abattoir at its main office in Kampong Menglait, Gadong last Saturday.

Senior management and executives welcomed invited guests comprising corporate clients and business acquaintances who were ushered in to enjoy the spread of Raya treats served for the celebration as well as a lucky draw.
