Haji Sabminan bin Haji Damit emerged as the overall gross champion of the Taiwan Business Association in Brunei Darussalam Golf Tournament after carding gross 76 yesterday at the Pantai Mentiri Golf Club.
Representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office Vanessa Shih presented the trophy to Haji Sabminan.
Winner of Division ‘A’ was Darren Liu while in second place was Chu Vui Kiat and Dato Haji Harith bin Haji Abdul Karim finished third.
Hassan Aliyuddin claimed first place in Division ‘B’ while Nick Tay and Lim Pheng Khawn were first and second runners-up.
In Division ‘C’, Teo Soon Tbock emerged as the winner followed by Kahar Bakar and Tony Wong.
For the Ladies Division, Agnes Hiu finished in first spot and Mary Hiew was in second place.
Angie Chen finished third.
Some 50 golfers took part in the tournament.
Yesterday also saw Taiwan Business Association in Brunei Darussalam handing over BND2,000 to Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei.
SMARTER Brunei’s Vice President 2 Major (Rtd) Muhammad Talip bin Muhammad Tahir received the mock cheque from President of Taiwan Business Association in Brunei Darussalam Edward Ko.
The donation was raised from the one-day golf tournament.
