The Brunei Darussalam Girl Guides Association (PPPBD) celebrated the World International Day of Peace with a ‘Walk for Peace’ event on Sunday.
The participants walked from the PPPBD headquarters in Kampong Anggerek Desa to the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, then back to the headquarters.
Among those joining were PPPBD Lifelong Vice President Datin Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohd Ali as the guest of honour and PPPBD Chief Commissioner Norazrina binti Haji Sarbini.
Celebration of the World International Day of Peace serves as one of the association’s annual activities and this year the celebration carries the theme “Sustaining Peace and Harmony”.
The activity promoted a healthy lifestyle while raising awareness on the importance of universal peace.
