In an effort to embrace the spirit of giving in the month of Ramadhan, NBT (Brunei) Sdn Bhd held a donation presentation and breaking of fast ceremony for 110 orphans under NBT’s ‘Gift of Smile’ initiative at its Gadong showroom yesterday.
The initiative aims to spread joy through the distribution of ‘Gift of Smile’ happy packs containing biscuits, snacks, sweet treats, and green packets.
NBT (Brunei) Managing Director Haji Ahmad Omar bin Pehin Dato Haji Husin along with department heads presented the donations.
As part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment, NBT (Brunei) shared the essence of the blessed month by handing over donations to orphans registered under the Community Development Department (JAPEM) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The orphans and their families were also treated to iftar meals. Officers representing JAPEM were also present.
Haji Ahmad Omar in thanking the community for the contribution said, “It’s always a pleasure to host our annual ‘Gift of Smiles’ initiative, especially during the holy month of Ramadhan. I pray for these children to always be protected by Allah the Almighty.” – James Kon
