A full-dress rehearsal was held yesterday to prepare for the get-together ceremony in the Brunei-Muara District in conjunction with the 76th birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
Held at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien, the rehearsal was witnessed by Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Chairman of the National Committee for His Majesty’s 76th birthday celebration.
Permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries and acting deputy permanent secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) as well as members of the National Committee for His Majesty’s 76th birthday celebration for the Brunei-Muara District were also present.
The get-together ceremony for the Brunei-Muara District will be held on Sunday with the theme ‘Raja Untuk Rakyat dan Rakyat Untuk Raja’. Students from government and private schools alongside public and private sector employees will take part in the field performance as part of the royal birthday celebrations.
The public wishing to attend the get-together must abide by the standard operating procedures including conducting antigen rapid test (ART) screening and uploading the results on the BruHealth app or take a photo of the ART kit. Only those testing negative are allowed entry.
The public must also wear a face mask; encouraged to regularly sanitise hands; and maintain physical distancing. Meanwhile individuals with fever, cough, breathing difficulty and other flu-like symptoms are advised not to attend the event.
