Getting familiar with Information Dept

A group of students from Tutong Camp Primary School visited The Information Department of the Prime Minister’s Office recently.

A total of 28 Year 5 students and four teachers led by the school’s Deputy Principal Hafidzahmuti binti Haji Zaini were welcomed by the department’s Information Officer and staff members.

The delegation was briefed on the historical background, roles, functions and mechanism of the Information Department in disseminating information and the impact of social information and media today.

The briefing held at the Meeting Room Level II of the Information Department’s new extension building was delivered by Assistant Information Officer Mohammad Nurakram bin Noraini @ Bahrin.

The delegation later toured the Photography Unit, Pelita Brunei Section, Information Reference Centre and Publication and Graphic Art Section.

The purpose of the visit was to enhance the students’ knowledge of the functions of the Information Department in Brunei Darussalam.
