Generosity flows for COVID-19 fight

The Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, especially the Ministry of Health (MoH), received donations from companies and individuals to help fight the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

Permanent Secretary at the MoH Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin received a BND50,000 cheque from Medetech Sdn Bhd presented by its Managing Director Anil Kumar yesterday.

The MoH also received contributions from several agencies.

Perusahaan Sinaran Gemilang Sdn Bhd donated isotonic drinks while Simpor Pharma Sdn Bhd handed over care packages for frontliners in the form of hand sanitiser and tissues.

The Embassy of Indonesia in Brunei Darussalam contributed garbage bags, surgical gloves, aprons, wet tissues, hand sanitiser, hand soap, a wheel chair, biohazard bins, biohazard plastic bags, face shields, trolleys, A3 paper, scrub attire, a white board with stand and face masks.

Meanwhile, R&T Electronic Enterprise donated a cooler, washer and fridge; Little Bloom Daycare with bottle sprays, biscuits, plastic cutlery, instant noodles, paper cups and drinks; Petir Management Service with two paper shredders; and HM Family with mineral water.
