The Bandar Seri Begawan Indian Association (BSBIA) organised a get-together night at Tarindak D’Seni last night in conjunction with the 76th Independence Day of India.
Indian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Alok Amitabh Dimri was the guest of honour.
The event began with the singing of the Bruneian and Indian national anthems.
It continued with speeches from chairman of the organising committee Sabu Kuttemperoor, BSBIA President NM Mubarak and the Indian high commissioner.
Notable guests at the gathering included Dato Dr Alexander, Advocate Naz Parveen and YMRM Group of Companies Chairman Ramesh Jiwatram Bhawnani. Representatives from Progresif Sdn Bhd and Indian businessmen were also in attendance, along with some 300 Indian association members as well as their families and friends.
The annual celebration was also enlivened with song and dance performances.
