From its innovative electrification to the cutting-edge BMW Curved Display and intuitive “QuickSelect” control system, every aspect of the i5 Series embodies the future-focused ethos driving the transformation of the BMW Group.
The all-new i5 Series Sedan boasts a refined design language that highlights its sporty elegance and commanding presence. This latest iteration has been meticulously crafted, with dimensions that have been strategically enhanced for both aesthetic appeal and functionality.
Compared to its predecessor, the i5 Sedan now stands taller, wider, and longer, with an increased length of 97 millimetres (mm), bringing it to 5,060mm. Its width has expanded by 32mm to 1,900mm, while its height has grown by 36mm to 1,515mm.
Additionally, the wheelbase has been extended by 20 to 2,995mm, ensuring a more spacious and comfortable interior for passengers.

The all-new Sedan presents a striking front view, highlighted by a contemporary interpretation of its twin headlights and iconic BMW kidney grille.
LED elements, arranged vertically, serve dual functions as turn indicators and daytime running lights, while the grille, projecting boldly forward, is accented by a wide surround and BMW’s signature Iconic Glow contour lighting.
From the side, the Sedan exudes athleticism with its high shoulder line and meticulously sculpted surfaces. Two precisely traced character lines add depth to its design, complemented by sleek black side skirts and seamlessly integrated door openers.
An embossed number 5 at the base of the C-pillar adds a distinctive touch. The Sedan’s dynamic proportions flow seamlessly to its powerful rear end, where flat rear lights, divided by a chrome strip, artfully interpret the classic L-shape characteristic of BMW’s design language.
DIGITAL COCKPIT
The i5 Sedan is tailored for maximum driving pleasure in everyday traffic and unparalleled comfort on long journeys, embodying the quintessential BMW experience. Inside, spaciousness, modern amenities, and superior acoustic insulation create a refined atmosphere.
Revolutionising the cockpit, BMW has streamlined controls with advanced digitalisation, epitomised by the BMW Curved Display. This cutting-edge display system integrates a 12.3-inch Information Display and a 14.9-inch Control Display, redefining driver orientation.
The new BMW iDrive, seamlessly integrated with the Curved Display and Intelligent Voice Control, simplifies operation via touch and natural language. Steering wheel buttons and the iDrive Controller on the console enhance accessibility, while the BMW Live Cockpit Professional includes the Head-Up Display for added convenience.
Redesigned for enhanced ergonomics, the steering wheel features haptic feedback and a flattened lower section, alongside a revamped selector lever. Highlighting innovation, the BMW Interaction Bar spans the instrument panel, featuring touch-sensitive controls and a striking crystalline surface structure.
PERFORMANCE INNOVATION
The all-electric BMW i5 Sedan introduces a ground-breaking fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology, setting new standards for performance and efficiency.
Powering the rear wheels, the i5 eDrive40’s electric motor delivers an impressive 250 kilowatts (kW)/340 horse power (hp) and up to 400 newton-metre (Nm) of torque with Sport Boost or Launch Control, propelling the sedan from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour (km/h) in just 6.0 seconds, with a top speed of 193km/h.
Featuring a space-saving high-voltage battery positioned in the underbody, offering a usable energy content of 81.2kWh, the i5 ensures an extended range. Enhanced by adaptive recuperation and intelligent heat pump technology for interior climate control, the i5 achieves impressive WLTP values ranging from 497 to 582km.
With the innovative MAX RANGE function, drivers can extend their range by up to 25 percent by adjusting power and speed while deactivating certain comfort functions.
The Combined Charging Unit (CCU) of the i5 Sedan facilitates AC charging at up to 22 kW, while direct current charging can reach a remarkable 205 kW, enabling a rapid charge from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 30 minutes.
SEAMLESS INTEGRATION
To simplify the transition to electromobility, QAF Auto has expanded its BMW Destination Charging Partner network, teaming up with companies like Baiduri Bank Headquarters, Radisson Hotel Brunei, Service Master Enterprise, and more to follow suit.
Additionally, QAF Auto has joined forces with Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sdn Bhd to introduce the nation’s second Shell Recharge fast charging facility at the BMW showroom in Beribi.
