Funds raised, skills displayed at music show

PUSAT Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, the centre collaborated with local artistes and the Royal Brunei Navy for a two-hour Charity Music Show at Jerudong Park Amphitheatre last night to raise funds for the growing expenses.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin was the guest of honour.

United States (US) Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Matthew J Matthews, Pusat Ehsan Board of Trustees, donors, volunteers and special needs advocates were present.

The charity event was also to show public the talents and capabilities of students from the centre with different abilities.

All proceeds of the Charity Music Show will go to Pusat Ehsan to provide education, rehabilitation and training to the students. The centre does not charge any fee from their students.

Chairperson of the organising committee of the Charity Music Show Nurul Huda binti Haji Muhin expressed her gratitude to all sponsors, collaborators, performers and audience for their contributions, hard work and support.

Performances comprised students and staff of Pusat Ehsan, Royal Brunei Navy Band, Wan Ziqri, FNDUO, Syafiq Abdillah, Taswin Rozan, Kip Hafizuddin, Farisya Khairul, Bruhooders and Sari Sumardy.
