Kosi (B) Sdn Bhd paid tribute to the Ministry of Health (MoH) for their continuous fight against COVID-19 in the country by donating 30 cartons of locally produced muskmelons during an event at Kosi’s office in Jaya Setia Square yesterday.
The donations were handed to Director of Hospital Services at the MoH Dr Hajah Lailawati binti Haji Jumat to be distributed among healthcare workers and volunteers taking care of COVID-19 patients, administering vaccinations, conducting polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests and other COVID-19 duties.
Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong witnessed the donation.
The muskmelons are produced by the local agricultural company Superfish Growers Sdn Bhd.
Highlighting the tough economic conditions during the pandemic, Kosi (B) Sdn Bhd Sales Manager George Lim said, “Kosi would also like to support Superfish Growers’ successful agricultural development in the country.
“To further enhance food security, I would like to encourage other locals to venture into the agricultural sector.”
Kosi (B) Sdn Bhd also handed over muskmelons to the loyal partners and individuals.
“I would like to thank all business supporters with this show of gratitude in conjunction with Ramadhan and the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations by giving a small token of appreciation,” Lim said.
