Free tuition classes for 52 students under ‘Curahan Ilmu’

The third series of the ‘Curahan Ilmu Program’ was officially launched by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin during a ceremony at the Multipurpose Hall of Dato Mohd Yassin Primary School, Mentiri yesterday.

A total of 52 Year 6 students from various schools selected for this programme will be attending free tuition classes until their Primary School Assessment (PSR) Examination in October.

The programme is organised by the Community and Communication Bureau of the RPN Kampong Panchor Mengkubau Village Consultative Council in collaboration with TeachMe Guru and the Youth Community Transformation Club of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The minister explained that the programme started in 2018, has brought great impact in improving the students’ academic performance who needed inclusive guidance.

“The success of the programme has been proven by the results achieved by the students who attended the programme,” he added. The minister hoped the students would use the opportunity to improve themselves and wished them success in their examination.

Head of the Community and Communication of the MPK RPN Kampong Panchor Mengkubau Dayang Fatimah binti Haji Jamil said students selected for the programme comprised children from 11 villages across the district. The students will be given tuition in four core subjects – Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, Science and English for 10 months from January until October this year.

The students will be divided into four groups and the classes will be held every Friday and Sunday.

The event also saw the presentation of learning supplies to participants by the guest of honour. It concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat.
