The Law Society of Brunei Darussalam is having a free legal advice clinic for civil and criminal matters on June 25 from 9am to noon at the Law and Subordinate Courts building in Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha, Batu Satu.
The clinic aims to provide free legal advice to the public unable to obtain such service due to limited income.
Advice will be provided on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Advice seekers must not be represented by any law firm; provide a copy of Brunei-issued identity card and proof of current residential address; and have an income or allowance of less than BND1,500 per month.
Those interested in attending the clinic should screen for COVID-19 using antigen rapid tests before arrival due to health protocols around the courts.
