Four students from Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School who completed their three-month work attachment at Makan Ceria Sdn Bhd from September to November 2020, were feted at McDonald’s Lambak Drive-Thru recently.
Two students were assigned to McDonald’s Gadong branch and another two at McDonald’s Lambak Drive-Thru restaurant.
Makan Ceria’s management team, Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School Principal Sia Ai Chin and teachers as well as two senior education officers of the Department of Schools were also present.
Sia Ai Chin said the students have acquired valuable skills, knowledge and work experience applicable to their current BTEC (Business and Technology Educational Council) Level 1 Introductory in Hospitality Programme this year. She also expressed her appreciation for the support from the Department of Schools at the Ministry of Education (MoE) in helping secondary schools find work attachment opportunities tailored to the students’ abilities. She also thanked McDonald’s Brunei for its support in providing opportunities for the students to gain valuable work experience.
McDonald’s Lambak Drive-Thru restaurant General Manager Hartini binti Haji Hussin presented the certificates of participation to the students.
Department of Schools Senior Education Officer Andree Asmara bin Haji Abidin joined Sia in presenting the certificates of appreciation and souvenirs to Makan Ceria Sdn Bhd, McDonald’s Gadong and McDonald’s Lambak Drive-Thru representatives.
