The Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI), through the Dakwah Unit in the Belait District in collaboration with the Muallaf Development Division (Tarbiyah Muallaf), Dakwah Unit in the Tutong and Temburong districts, organised a forum titled ‘Marhaban Ya Ramadhan’ in Belait
District yesterday.
The event held at Dakwah Unit office was joined by 92 new converts and members from the Sinar Islam Association.
PDI Director Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh and Acting Head of Religious Officers in the Belait District Nur Suffian bin Haji Yahya were in attendance.
The forum began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by religious teacher at the centre Muhammad Nur Aisamuddin bin Muhammad Hanafi. It was followed by an introduction to the speakers – Religious Development Officer Nurhuwaina binti Mamud and Religious Development Officer (i-Ready) Juliana @ Siti Shatirah binti Haji Jailani. The forum was chaired by Religious Development Officer (i-Ready) Abdul Khaliq bin Kamree.
Topics discussed during the session included the importance of fasting during Ramadhan and its significance in the Islamic faith. The event also discussed ways to stay disciplined while fasting and introduced knowledge to understand fasting and how it benefits practitioners.
