Forum focusses on Prophet Muhammad’s family life

The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Religious Department (JAMA’AT) and the Fiqh Al-Usrah Research Centre of the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) held a family forum ‘Hiwar Fiqah Al-Usrah 2.0’ at the Bridex Hall in Jerudong yesterday.

The forum titled ‘The Exemplary Role Model of the Family Life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh): Ways of Strengthening and Current Challenges’ saw three panellists participating. They were Assistant Head of RBAF JAMA’AT Major Ariffin bin Amit, Fiqh Al-Usrah Research Centre Director Hilman bin Haji Salim and Islamic Da’wah Centre Dakwah and Tabligh Supervisor Pengiran Norhayati binti Pengiran Haji Kasharan.

KUPU SB Research Officer Ustaz Mohammad Muslihuddin Syah bin Haji Mustafa was the moderator.

The event started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a welcoming speech by Head of JAMA’AT Commander Haji Ainolnizam bin Haji Ibrahim, RBN.

RBAF Commander Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat was the guest of honour. Ra’es of KUPU SB Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar, service commanders, senior officers, officers and personnel from the Ministry of Defence, RBAF and KUPU SB were also present.

An exhibition and book sales by the Family Advisory Services Division, the Syariah Affairs Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Islamic Da’wah Centre, State Mufti’s Office, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, RBAF Prihatin Centre and Empowerior Counselling and Consultant were also held.

The forum was conducted in conjunction with JAMA’AT’s 15th anniversary and served to look after the welfare of RBAF personnel and their families, and strengthen family bonds as a support institution.
