Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through the Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre (PPHT) organised a ‘Isu Kontemporari dan Jalan Penyelesaiannya’ (Contemporary Issues and Their Solutions) forum via Zoom application recently.

The forum was joined by 70 local and foreign participants.

The forum invited two experts – lecturer and head of Graduate Programme, PPHT, UNISSA Associate Professor Dr Nurdeng Deuraseh; and Senior Lecturer and Head of Contemporary Islamic Studies Academy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia Dr Mohd Hapiz  Mahaiyadin.

Graduate student in halal science (halal management) Luqmanul Hakim bin Haji Rozaini moderated the forum.

The first panel revolved around ‘Isu-Isu Halalan Thayyiban Era COVID-19: Cabaran and Resolusi’ (Issues of Halalan Thayyiban in the Era of COVID-19: Challenges and Resolution).

The second panel was on ‘Aplikasi Istihalah terhadap produk yang mengandungi Derivatif Muharramat’.

The forum series aimed to highlight local and foreign experts in sharing their expertise and experience.

It also served as a platform to create a conducive knowledgeable atmosphere by cultivating a climate of knowledge among the academics and students.
