Forum enlightens visitors on Islamic perspective on health

A forum titled Mensyukuri Ni’mat Usia was held at Tutong District Civic Centre Complex yesterday, to provide attendees with a better perspective and awareness on the importance of well-being from healthcare and Islamic standpoints.

Director of Centre of International and Public Relations at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Haji Sammali bin Haji Adam, Geriatric Consultant at the Ministry of Health (MoH) Dr Muhammad Nurhasanuddin Abdullah bin Abdullah Kelali and Occupational Therapist at MoH Nurul Bazilah binti Haji Ali were the panellists.

Legislative Council (LegCo) members Yang Berhormat Haji Ramli bin Haji Lahit and Yang Berhormat Haji Abdul Wahab bin Apong were present.

An exhibition and activities such as health check and quizzes to help visitors learn about non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and tips on leading a healthy lifestyle based on the Sunnahs of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) were held.

The forum and exhibition were jointly organised by the MoH, Ministry of Religious Affairs, UNISSA and Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) under the working committee of side events for Knowledge Convention 2020.
