Foreigners nabbed in Tutong operation

Five foreigners were nabbed for several offences during a joint operation involving several enforcement agencies under the code name Operasi Sepadu in the Tutong District on November 27.

The Immigration and National Registration Department (INRD) took action on three foreigners and issued special passes while the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) took action on two foreigners found in possession of prohibited goods.

The operation involved 105 officers and enforcement personnel led by Acting Officer-in-Charge of the Lamunin Police Station Inspector Shahrin bin Serbini.

Agencies involved in the operation included Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) comprising the Human Trafficking Investigation Unit and Interpol and Aseanapol External Affairs Unit, RCED, INRD, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Labour Department and Internal Security Department (JKDN).
