The Immigration and National Registration Department (INRD) recently carried out two enforcement operations targeting foreign nationals suspected of immigration violations.
The Law Enforcement Division in Kuala Belait detained nine foreign nationals at a construction site in Mukim Liang for further investigation. The individuals failed to present valid documents.
Meanwhile, two foreign nationals were detained in Mukim Gadong ‘B’ for failing to produce valid documents.
Further investigations revealed that they had overstayed in the Sultanate and were working for employers not listed on their work permits. – Fadley Faisal
