Football referees stay up to snuff

Twenty-two individuals participated in a fitness test in preparation for the referee seminar at the end of January at the Tutong Sports Complex recently.

The event began with a warm-up session followed by tests including dynamic yo-yo.

The National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) through the Referee Department is committed to increasing the capacity and knowledge of local referees through courses and seminars.

This initiative expanded to other districts with the Tutong District Amateur Football Association (TDAFA) recently hosting the referee’s refresher course at its main office earlier this month.

Meanwhile, a Class 3 Basic Referee Course is scheduled for February at the Tutong District Amateur Football Association office.

The course will help participants to learn the basics of refereeing football matches from certified instructors.
