THE 12th Brunei-Singapore Students Leaders Adventure Camp (BSAC) ended with a ceremony for the Singaporean delegates as they bid farewell to their Bruneian counterparts.
Guest of honour at the event held at Sports School in Pulaie, Acting Special Duties Officer (Professional), Department of Schools Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman presented certificates to 40 participants of the five-day leadership camp.
The event began with speeches by the Brunei Darussalam Student Leader, Syasya Sahira binti Yusop, and the Singapore Student Leader as they recounted their educational and exciting experiences during the camp.
A combined group performance enlivened the event.
The camp served as a platform to develop student leaders’ leadership, thinking, problem solving and decision making skills; promote network and teamwork among student leaders; enhance understanding, collaboration and bonding through cross-culture learning, outdoor adventure, teambuilding games and live-in experiences and to cultivate the need to conserve natural environment and biodiversity as well as to preserve historical and cultural heritage.
The camp was facilitated by officers from the Department of Schools, and selected teachers and students from secondary schools.
