A total of 61 officers and staff of VAM BRN Sdn Bhd (VAM) joined by VAM Managing Director Hiroyuki Hatanaka as well as senior and department managers attended a healthy lifestyle programme on ‘Anti-Tobacco and Nutrition Talk’ at the company’s premises in Salambigar Industrial Park yesterday.
Officers from the Health Promotion Centre (HPC), Ministry of Health Arnina Bakar and Nadhirah Rawi, delivered the talk. The talk was divided into two sessions with the first session held yesterday, and the second session on February 21.
The programme aims to encourage staff members to practice a balanced diet and to stop smoking.
Workplace health initiatives have been implemented by the company with the support of HPC, including obesity management awareness and mental health awareness talks.
