A vehicle burst into flames near the Hua Ho Petani Mall in Tutong District yesterday just after midnight. The Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) received a distress call at 12.28am which prompted the deployment of two fire engines to the scene.
According to the department, by the time the 10 fire personnel, led by Deputy Fire Station Officer Rinald, arrived at the scene, the fire had destroyed half of the vehicle.
The driver dashed for safety before the fire engulfed the vehicle.
The cause of the fire and the loss are under investigation.
