A CLOSING ceremony for the two-day ‘Psycho-Education Intervention Workshop: Psycho-Education Group Module’ was held at the Islamic Da’wah Centre yesterday.
A total of 71 teachers from primary and secondary schools, colleges and sixth-form centres, as well as school counsellors, received certificates of participation from Haji Mohd Sharifuddin bin Haji Mohd Salleh, the Acting Special Duties Officer (Corporate) at the Department of Schools and Chairman of the workshop committee.
Hosted by the Ministry of Education (MoE)’s Department of Schools, the workshop was aimed at improving the skills of school counsellors in dealing in psycho-social problems among students, in addition to acquiring new knowledge to suit the current needs of local schools.
Facilitating the workshop was Associate Professor Dr Aslina binti Ahmad, a lecturer from the Department of Psychology and Counselling, Faculty of Human Development at the Sultan Idris Educational University (UPSI) in Tanjung Malim, Perak Darul Ridzuan.
