Brunei Darussalam entered its second day with no new COVID-19 cases and 240th day with no local transmissions yesterday, keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 157.
The latest update of the current COVID-19 situation as of noon yesterday was released by the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Meanwhile, the MoH took 161 samples for SARS-CoV-2 testing in the past 24 hours and carried out 83,337 tests since January, 2020.
Five active cases are receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in the Tutong District, while there have been 16 imported cases since the last local case was reported 240 days ago.
Six hundred and thirty-three individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after arriving from abroad while 10,379 have completed their self-isolation since March, 2020.
