An exclusive media preview of the Volkswagen T-Cross was held by Maju Motors Sdn Bhd yesterday at the Nur Wanita Restaurant in Serasa Beach.

According to Managing Director of Maju Motors Sdn Bhd Chan Key Hong, Brunei is one of the first countries to have the T-Cross available in the market in the region and highlighted the new model’s striking exterior and spacious interior, that is packed with smart features.

During the preview, Sales Manager at Maju Motors Mohammad Shahnon Azizan highlighted that the SUV is marketed as a more practical and family-oriented car that is expected to appeal to young families due to its tall roof, spacious interior, large boot capacity, safety system, driving assist system and high-level driving position.

Powering the T-Cross is a 1.0L TSI engine producing a 115hp and 200Nm of torque and is mated to an improved Seven Speed DSG, making every journey fun, smooth, and a safe driving experience.

It was highlighted that with the efficient engine that consumes only 5.2 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres and a 40-litre fuel tank, one can commute from Bandar Seri Begawan and Kuala Belait back-and-forth four times with a full tank.

The overall design package comes with three unique designs of Black, Energetic Orange, and Bamboo Garden Green. Each design package comes with a unique interior colour scheme that will match well with the exterior look. Embedded in the dash panel is the 8-inch glass covered capacitive touchscreen with proximity sensor infotainment unit, which includes all the connective necessities for example MirrorLink, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, and Bluetooth.

A phenomenal sound experience comes from the “Beats” premium sound system, with six special loudspeakers and subwoofer that have been specially configured for the T-Cross characteristics to reproduce a high-quality sound in the interior.

The new T-Cross will be made available to the public in a launching event set to take place soon.
