A fallen tree damaged the roof of a house in Kampong Belingus, Temburong District on Saturday.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD), 11 firefighters from Bangar Fire Station led by ABKS 765 Ramzul Asrin bin Ramly rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 10.25am. The found an Asam tree had fallen on to the roof of a kitchen at a nearby house.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters cleared the debris from the 23-metre tall and 15-centimetre thick tree in three hours.
The FRD reminded the public to be vigilant, especially during unpredictable weather and avoid planting trees close to residences.
