Twenty-three personnel from AEC Sdn Bhd and Minsan D’Con Sdn Bhd attended a fire marshal training at the Bandar Seri Begawan Fire Station from December 7-9.

The training included briefings, simulations and team building exercises conducted by the Public Relations Section of Operation ‘A’ Branch, Fire and Rescue Department (FRD).

Theoretical training on prevention methods and knowledge were also provided.

Participants were briefed on how to prevent the spread of fire, fire extinguish techniques, building evacuation procedures, how to roll/unroll and connect/disconnect a fire hose, and fire rescue methods. They also experienced evacuating a dark building in Berakas.

The training equipped participants with skills to improve safety measures, alertness and preparedness in dealing with emergency situations.

The FRD will continue to hold fire safety programmes such as the Life Saver 995 briefing and Fire Marshal course to provide proper procedural knowledge in dealing with fire at work or at home.

The public can contact the 995 emergency line in the event of an incident.
