Thirty-eight officers and staff from the Rimba Horticulture Development Unit participated in a fire marshal course conducted by the Public Relations Division, Operation ‘F’ Branch of Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) at the Jerudong Fire Station from March 23 to 25.

Participants were briefed on the causes of fire, proper use of firefighting equipment, procedures on evacuating a building and prevention of fire in the workplace.

The FRD offers safety programmes, including Life Saver 995 and fire marshal courses, to instil knowledge on workplace safety and guidelines on the proper use of a fire extinguisher.
