Some 350 students and teachers from Tungku Religious School took part in a fire safety and evacuation recently.
Fire and Rescue Department Officer Rustam Efandi bin Haji Metusin aided by Muhd Hazwan bin Mawang from the Beribi Fire Station, led the drill.
The exercise featured five firefighters and a fire engine.
The training began with the ringing of the emergency alarm which saw students gather at a designated area.
The scenario is a fire that broke out at the canteen with two students in need of evacuation.
Earlier, the school received a fire safety and an evacuation briefing.
The drill was a continuation of the briefing.
The training tested the preparedness of the school as well as raised fire safety awareness among the students, teachers and staff.
