The Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) conducted a fire drill and evacuation exercise at Amo Primary School in Temburong District involving five firefighters and an engine from the Rataie Fire Station last Saturday.
The drill was participated by 73 teachers, students and staff along with Public Relations Division Operation ‘G’ Branch of the FRD.
The scenarios was a fire that broke from one of the rooms at the school premises.
Firefighters extinguished the flames on arrival and ensured the children’s safety.
The FRD said the training aimed to cultivate a sense of responsibility on the aspect of fire safety among children and learning the proper procedures of evacuating a building.
