Findley to host first in-person visit from University of Birmingham representative

For students considering studying overseas, the re-opening of Brunei’s borders means a welcome return to meeting university representatives face-to-face.

Findlay announced its first in-person visit from the University of Birmingham, a member of the prestigious Russell Group. This British university is a global Top 100 university, ranking 90th in the QS World Rankings 2022.

Its global reputation is well earned as not only does the university welcome 10,000 students from 150 countries annually, it is the first of the Russell Group universities to establish a campus in Dubai.

Leading graduate employability reports such as the High Fliers report in the Graduate Market in 2021 and 2022 showed Birmingham graduates to be among the most sought after by top employers.

The university is located on a beautiful, tranquil 260-acre campus in a leafy suburb of Birmingham. It is the only university in the United Kingdom (UK) to have its own train station, where an eight-minute ride brings students into the heart of Birmingham city.

Many developments are planned as part of a 10-year GBP600M transformation of the campus one of which, a new GBP46.5million School of Engineering that opened in 2021, brings engineering disciplines together in over 12,000-square-metres of contemporary and
flexible space. International Officer for Southeast Asia Alexa Haslam, representing the university, will visit Brunei next week. She will do a presentation on June 28 at 4.30pm at Findlay’s office in Gadong for prospective students and their parents who are keen to find out about studying at the university.
