Filipinos in Belait get consular services

The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam provided frontline services to Filipino nationals in Kuala Belait for the second time this year with another Consular Outreach on Wheels (COW) at Serikandi Cafe and Restaurant recently.

The COW in Kuala Belait gave Filipinos in the district access to regular consular services such as passport applications, notarial services and assistance to nationals services. The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Brunei participated in the outreach event and provided the services such as contract verification and application for OWWA membership.

Philippine Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Marian Jocelyn R Tirol-Ignacio, Consul General Pete Raymond Delfin and Welfare Officer Anuar Ampang also held dialogues with the local Filipino community led by the Filipino Association in Brunei – Belait Chapter.
