Sales assistant at Zunaira Collection Company, Estrella Demadin Olivar embraced Islam and is now officially known as Inayah Inarah binti Abdullah after reciting her Syahadah on Wednesday.

The Filipina who followed her sister’s footsteps, also a Muslim convert, shared that her decision to embrace Islam is sincere as she sees the beauty in the religion and pledged to serve Allah the Almighty until the end of her life.

“It’s hard for me to describe this mixed set of emotions, but it’s an incredible feeling. I feel like I have just been reborn, peaceful and very happy that I made this decision to choose this beautiful religion.” President of the Women Graduates Association of Brunei Darussalam Pengiran Hajah Zubaidah binti Pengiran Haji Kamaludin was the guest of honour at the Darul Huda building of the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI).

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed with the recitation of Syahadah by Inayah Inarah guided by officers from the Dakwah Development Division of PDI, after which the guest of honour presented her with a souvenir.

A Dikir Marhaban was performed and the ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat.

There have been 332 Muslim converts from January to September this year, of whom 119 are from the Brunei-Muara District.
