After last year’s hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 17th edition of Jualan Kuih-Muih Belia returned to the Youth Centre in the capital yesterday, with 181 festive treats on offer.
The event was officially launched by Deputy Permanent Secretary (Community) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Saidah binti Haji Wahid.
Organised by the Youth and Sports Department under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), the event is jointly managed by the Youth Centre’s Youth Community Transformation Club (KKBT) and the Women’s Institute of Brunei Darussalam (WI), as a platform for local youth to learn the practical skills of running a business.
This year, 34 vendors from KKBT and 35 from WI are participating in the sale. The annual event is popular among the public, and allows local Micro, Small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to bring their latest products to the market.
The Jualan Kuih-Muih Belia is open from 10am to 10pm daily, except Friday, where it is open from 2.30pm to 10pm. It will continue to operate until the last day of Ramadhan.
