Festive spirit fills school halls

SCHOOLS across the country continued to hold Hari Raya celebrations.

At Al-Falaah School in Sungai Akar, hundreds of parents and students gathered to share in the festivities and strengthen ties with the teaching workforce.

Ambassadors and senior government officials also attended.

Principal of Al-Falaah School Saiyed Haamid bin Saiyed Ibrahim Aal-Taaher mingled with attendees as they tucked into local and international delicacies offed at different booths.

Meanwhile, Pengiran Kesuma Negara Primary School in Bukit Beruang, Tutong also held a Hari Raya celebration for teachers, students and their parents.

Pengiran Kesuma Negara Primary School teachers in their festive attire

Cluster 5 officers from the Ministry of Education Hasni bin Abdullah Tujoh and Pitar bin Pangkat were the guests of honour.

Headmistress Hajah Kostinah binti Haji Garif, senior officers, teachers and students attended the event.

Teachers and students came dressed in their finest traditional Malay costumes.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Fakhrul Amal bin Haji Abu Bakar, and was followed by various student performances. Prizes were awarded to the best dressed students, while games and other fun activities were held to enliven the event.

The objective of the event was to strengthen the spirit of togetherness and to foster closer relationship amongst the teachers, parents and students.
