Sixty underprivileged families residing in the vicinity of the Mashhor office Lambak Kanan Light Industrial area , particularly Berakas ‘A’ and Berakas ‘B,’ received portions of sacrificial meat yesterday, in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha. The meat of two buffaloes was distributed.
The Hari Raya Aidiladha sacrificial meat distribution organised by Mashhor General Contractor through Yayasan Al-Mashhor, saw Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD) Chief Executive Haji Mohd Salihin bin Haji Aspar as the guest of honour.
Mashhor Group of Companies officials and guests also listened to a religious talk delivered by Muhamad Nur Amin bin Haji Jali. Mashhor Group of Companies Deputy Director of Operation Malai Shamil Faris bin Malai Haji Abdul Hamid noted that the company holds the sacrificial meat distribution annually.
Mashhor Group of Companies Chairman Malai Haji Abdul Hamid bin Haji Malai Mashhor also helped with the meat distribution.
Operation Manager Malai Haji Hamir bin Haji Malai Mashhor presented a memento to the guest of honour.
Meanwhile, RPN Kampong Panchor Village Consultative Council (MPK) held a Korban and sacrificial meat distribution ceremony at the Jalan Bukit Sinadur residence of one of its members.
Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Mohamed bin Pengiran Haji Osman @ Othman distributed the meat portions to recipients registered under the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) residing in the village.
The event began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Head of the Religious Bureau of MPK RPN Kampong Panchor Ramzi Mohiddin.
Acting Penghulu of Mukim Mentiri Pengiran Haji Ismail bin Pengiran Ibrahim and Acting Village Head of RPN Kampong Panchor Helmy bin Haji Ahmad also assisted in distributing the meat of three buffaloes to recipients.
Kampong Batu Marang Village Head, STKRJ Kampong Sungai Buloh Village Head, and Deputy Chairman of MPK Haji Mohd Eddie Hardy bin Haji Ibrahim, heads of bureaus and MPK RPN Kampong Panchor members also attended.
