Facilitators play an important role in disseminating information on Haj pilgrimage, said Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof at the 29th Dialogue Session for Haj facilitators at the new extension building of the MoRA yesterday.

Representatives from 12 ministries attended the dialogue session for Haj facilitators to increase the understanding of Haj pilgrimage. “Three working papers will be presented during this dialogue session. They will touch on appreciating Haj when in Arafah and Mina, regulations for performing Haj, Haj Manusik (rituals) for women: Tawaf Ifadhah for women experiencing menstruation and Haj management briefing,” he said.

He advised the Haj facilitators to pay complete attention to several matters, particularly topics on ‘Arafah and Mina’.

“This is important especially for the pilgrims who will perform Haj for the first time instead of providing information on accommodation and services provided by the agencies,” he added.

He hoped that the participants will share the knowledge they gained with friends or colleagues whether from educational institutions or colleagues in their departments or ministries.

Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz advised the Haj Management Department to be more proactive and take the initiative in improving the dissemination of Haj knowledge and be prepared for unexpected challenges.
