Expressing love for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) through Selawat, Sirah and Sunnah was the theme of the pre-dawn talk at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque yesterday.
Delivering the talk, Head of Religious School Section of the Islamic Studies Department Ahsanul Azmi bin Haji Sarbini said, “Our love for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is expressed through the recitation of Selawat, studying the Sirah (the Prophet’s life journey), following his example and incorporating his Sunnah (habitual practices) into our daily lives.”
The programme was jointly organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
Minister at the PMO Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang were present.
Initiated by the MoRA through its Mosque Affairs Department, the Islamic Da’wah Centre and the Islamic Syiar Development Division, the talk is part of the Masjidku Makmur, Negaraku Berkat programme to encourage more worshippers to attend the Subuh prayer at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque.
