The Temburong community is invited to check out the over-100 photograph collection from the ‘Brunei Darussalam from the Eyes of Foreign Diplomats and their Families’ following the exhibition’s launch at the Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) Heritage Branch, Bumiputera Complex in Pekan Bangar yesterday.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah launched the exhibition, which is on until January 19.

The exhibition highlighting the everyday life and times of a nation through the eyes of envoys is a show of appreciation for the government and the people of Brunei Darussalam.

The 10-day event is organised by the Diplomatic Corps (comprising 19 diplomatic missions accredited to Brunei Darussalam) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and BIBD.

Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel bin Rashed bin Hashel Al-Maskari said, “As diplomats, we enjoy the beautiful scenery and natural wonders. We invite Temburong residents to view our photos as a way for us to show our appreciation to the people of Temburong.” The Omani Ambassador also presented a photo album to Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew.

Members of the Diplomatic Corps, heads and representatives of nations, senior officials and the BIBD management team also attended.

The exhibition will make its last stop at the Tourist Information Centre in the Tutong District on January 23.
