Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) will be hosting a month-long exhibition by its students on design and creative industries (DCI) from April 8 until May 8 at UBD Chancellor Hall. The exhibition will be open from Mondays to Thursdays and Saturdays from 9am to 7pm until Ramadhan when the opening hours will end at 3pm.
The exhibition, UBD Spectrum 2021: Anew, is set to be the first DCI graduation exhibition showcasing the collective skills of the students in their respective fields. Twenty-eight students under different project clusters will be showcasing their labour in academic research, entrepreneurial projects, works of publication, 2D and 3D art and everything in between. Gallery talks will happen throughout the duration of the exhibition on Wednesdays and Saturdays where students will discuss the research, ideation and development behind the conceptualisation of the products being exhibited.
UBD Spectrum is the successor of UBD Spectacle which had been under the Arts and Creative Technology (ACT) undergraduate programme.
The new exhibition aims to better encapsulate the interdisciplinary areas of art, design and media; innovation and technology; and business and management offered by the DCI programme.
