Exercise to ensure flow of communication

A national exercise under the purview of the National Security Committee (NSC), dubbed Command Post Exercise (CPX), began yesterday. It will conclude tomorrow. CPX is an exercise under the Eksesais Perisai Kebangsaan (EPK) 05/2020 and follows from the Table-Top Exercise (TTX) conducted on November 10 to 12, 2020.

CPX aims to ensure the effectiveness of existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) of agencies, especially in utilising existing systems or communications device in disseminating and receiving information at various agency’s and committee’s command centres. The CPX subsequently complements Brunei Darussalam’s existing efforts towards the success of the ASEAN Summit 2021.

Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof as NSC Chairman, Minister of Energy Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Mohd Hussein and Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof observed the exercise.

Deputy Minister of Energy Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretary also attended.

The CPX, which observes involvement of agencies from the public and private sectors, is a continuous effort in enhancing cooperation across different sectors through a whole-of-nation approach that seeks to ensure the nation’s readiness in upholding its security and prosperity.
