Executive development programme concludes

The 17th Executive Development Programme (EDP) on Public Policy and Management for senior government officials concluded with a closing ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Defence (MinDef) at the Officers’ Mess, Bolkiah Garrison on Thursday.

The 17th EDP saw thirty participants, comprising senior officers from the MinDef and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and the Ministry of Education (MoE).

MinDef also sponsored three foreign participants from the Republic of Indonesia, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Republic of Singapore.

Present at the closing ceremony as Guest of Honour was Deputy Minister of Defence Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd Kadir. Also in attendance were Commander Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam, representative from the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Brunei Darussalam, Permanent Secretaries at the Prime Minister’s Office and Ministry of Defence, and other representatives from relevant stakeholders.

MinDef said that since its inauguration in 2004, a total of 417 senior officers have successfully completed the EDP programme.
